Case study

LangChain, the leading open source framework for builing generative AI applications, asked me to explore a variety of logo directions to replace their distinctive parrot and chain logo, currently made up of iOS emojis. This case study explores how the start up could evolve their visual identity while retaining the recognizability, accessibility, and charm of their current logo.

A rebrand full of humor, nostalgia, and Space Age era illustrations. ASTRO, a high quality weed pen company, was looking for a visual identity that’s playfully self aware and embraces the laid back nature of cannabis use, though avoids weed-brand stereotypes.

Type Design

These typefaces were inspired by playing cards and elaborate iron gates. However, the true fun of this eclectic display font is that each letter — save only for the “V” — is created from the same rectangular “frame” and four ovals. Asteria comes in two different styles: an ornate and a simple version.

Data Visualization

Inspired by a wonderful class on symbolic logic, I created a “map” of Hilbert’s Axiom System for classical logic. The system itself contains three logical “sentences” that always return true, no matter the truth value of their letters. This visualization inputs every truth value combination and shows how each sentence boils down to true.

Yuna Headphones is a branding case study conducted during my final semester of senior year. The assignment was to create a brand inspired by one of our classmates’ personalities and interests. Yuna, my classmate, has a love for relaxing, painting, and exploring the city of LA. The Yuna Headphones brand differs greatly from the top noise-cancelling headphone brands in the market; it’s whimsical, laid back, and accessible.

Call Flowers

p5.js; SQL; PHP

Call Flowers is a data visualization project analyzing the personal calls I made and took during the Spring of 2022. I gathered data on the length of my calls, who they were with, when they took place, and how physically far I was from that person at the time, and put all of that into a database. Using a combination of p5.js and SQL, I designed an interactive interface as an ode to my many loved ones who live far away.
